Reacting against filing of the criminal defamation case against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, senior leader Ashish Khetan and him, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Spokesman Sanjay Singh on Friday said it was Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia who is defaming the reputation of Punjab by indulging in the multi crore drug racket worth Rs. 6,000 crore. “It is Majithia, who is maligning and defaming Punjab with his involvement in the multi-crore drug racket. The entire Punjab knows who is the king pin of the drug mafia in the state. The AAP will continue to expose the misdeeds of Majihia who is holding a cabinet berth in Parkash Singh Badal government. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure dignity of Punjab is restored. And this can happen only if Majithia goes behind bars once AAP formed the government in Punjab in 2017 and ”, said Sanjay Singh.Majihia should stop playing cat and mouse game by filing spate of court cases against the AAP leaders. If Majithia had the guts he should immediately file an FIR against the AAP leaders and get them arrested by Punjab Police which is under the direct control of his brother in law and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.

“Majithia should know court cases may take time before reaching the final conclusion. So instead of playing such child like tricks to hoodwink the people of Punjab as well as to browbeat the AAP leaders he should put us in jail", said Sanjay Singh. Not only the AAP, but entire Punjab knows it very well that who is drug lord of Punjab, Sanjay Singh claimed adding that strong evidence came up several times against Majithia during the course of investigations in the multi crore drug racket, but Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Punjab Police have failed to act against him and take the case to its logical end.Evidences of ED showed how Majithia provided patronage and protection to several international drug smugglers who used his (Majithia)’s residence in Amritsar as base for drug smuggling, Sanjay Singh and Ashish Khetan said.Khetan said when AAP would form the government in Punjab it would surely send Majithia to jail on the basis of evidences it has gathered from the various investigating agencies. He said ED records showed that drugs worth thousands of crores were both smuggled in and out of Punjab by cartels linked to Majithia.

Earlier Majithia’s name was deliberately omitted from the statements of the drug smugglers recorded by Punjab Police, said Khetan while adding that the same smugglers narrated Majithia’s role in detail while recording their statements before ED.AAP leaders revealed Majithia provided Punjab police gunmen, official cars, personal residence and political patronage to facilitate the movement of drug smugglers within Punjab, as per the ED evidence. The ED probe officer Niranjan Singh was conspicuously transferred 20 days after he summoned Majithia to investigate his role in drug trade and later on the transfer was subsequently stayed by the Punjab & Haryana High Court, AAP leaders said. Two close associates of Majithia including Maninder Singh Aulakh and Jagjit Singh Chahal, who were arrested for drug paddling, revealed name of Majithia as their “Boss”, Khetan said adding that another international drug smuggler and former Punjab Police DSP Jagdish Singh Bhola has also named Majithia in front of the entire media in Mohali in 2013 as being involved in drug trade.Even the demand of CBI probe was rejected by the Badal led Punjab government and surprisingly Punjab Congress Chief Captain Amarinder Singh also vehemently opposed the CBI probe against Majithia for his drug smuggling links, AAP leaders said. After denial of the CBI probe against Majithia, enquiry ordered by Punjab Police could not see the light of day and nothing has come out so far, why? It is obvious and people know it, said Singh. On May 16 also, AAP leaders raised the issue of Majithia in front of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who did not oppose the allegations of drug connection against his Cabinet Minister Majithia, said Singh.
