District admin listens to public issues at Batote

The district administration Ramban today organised a Public Grievances Redressal Camp at Batote and listened to the issues of locals.District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz, led the team of officers comprising officers of all major departments.The camp was attended by Sarpanches, Panches, prominent citizens and a large number of people from the surrounding areas. They presented their grievances to the administration and sought redressal.While speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that holding such Public Grievances Redressal Camps (PGRC) help the administration to get feedback on implementation of developmental projects and reformative legislations like Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA).  

The majority of the grievances pertained to the health facilities, power and water supply, road connectivity, link roads, veterinary services, paucity of staff in schools, hospitals and offices, construction of the bus stop, delay in payment of wages and compensations, irregularities in the issuance of the Ration Cards under NFSA, redundant mast lights and Hand Pumps.The DDC directed the Executive Engineer PHE, for providing clean drinking water to the public of Batote and ensure earliest completion of repairing of the Water Filtration Plant (WFP).The People also apprised the DDC about various problems and difficulties being faced by them in their day to day life. The DDC assured for an early action in this regard.
