Kargil district will observe shutdown (tomorrow) Thursday against the civilian killings in the Valley following the killing of Hizb Commander Burhan Wani on July 8 in Kokernag. The shutdown call has been given by Imam Khomeini Trust today.Meanwhile, protests were held in Gurez tehsil against the killings of civilians in the ongoing unrest in Kashmir. Reports said that people marched on the road in the town and shouted slogans in support of Kashmir. They protested against the civilian killings.The protests were sparked after a Hindi news channel had said that people in Gurez were not supporting the Kashmiris.Reportedly, police has filed an FIR against the news channel for provoking protests in the hilly tehsil.
