The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal here today made it absolutely clear that the resignations tendered by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu would have no impact on the SAD-BJP alliance. Replying to a question about possibility of Sidhu couple joining AAP, in his interaction with media-persons the   Deputy Chief Minister said that whether the sidhu couple goes to Aam Aadmi Party or khaas aadmi party, it would have no bearing on the outcome of the results of assembly polls next year.Terming AAP Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as only good for theatrics, S. Badal said that AAP leader didn’t came to Sri Harmandir Sahib for performing sewa but to enact a mere drama which is crystal clear to the people of the state.

He also disclosed that the expenditure incurred on security forces regarding Pathankot attack was already waived off by the Union Government due to the attack being a national issue.Earlier, while distributing atta-dal cards to the new beneficiaries of the scheme at auditorium of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, the Deputy Chief Minister termed Arvind Kejriwal a big liar who not only violated his own oath of not joining politics but also availed all other facilities and perks. Castigating PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh, S. Badal said that Captain Amarinder has no love lost for the people of Punjab and his declaration concerning next year’s polls to be his last amply proves that he is only after acquiring power. Branding Captain Amarinder as an inaccessible leader, S. Badal said that the former Chief Minister was not in the least concerned about the problems of the common masses. Contrast this with the Chief Minister, Punjab, S. Parkash Singh Badal who not only implemented prestigious schemes aimed at welfare of the people of Punjab but also conducts sangat darshan day in and day out and resolves the problems of the people on the spot itself.

The Deputy Chief Minister also credited the Chief Minister, S. Parkash Singh Badal as a visionary having respect for all religions and ensuring peace and amity in the state thus giving befitting reply to the anti-Punjab forces.Coming to the progressive agenda, S. Sukhbir Badal said that the state government is spending Rs. 30000 crore on strengthening of road infrastructure. He also divulged that project of providing sewerage in 123 cities under urban mission, clean drinking water would be completed in 2 months. He also elaborated that it was the SAD-BJP government which constructed memorials in the memory of great personalities of every religion and caste so as to guide young generation about the glorious cultural heritage of the state. The Deputy Chief Minister also distributed 4152 blue cards to the new beneficiaries under atta-dal scheme. On the occasion MLA Bassi Pathana Justice Nirmal Singh, former MLA and halqa incharge Didar Singh Bhatti, Director Food and Civil Supplies Shivdular Singh Dhillon, Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, SSP Harcharan Singh Bhullar, Chairman District Planning Board Joginder Pal Singla, District President Ranjit Singh Libra, District President BJP Pradeep Garg amd other senior SAD-BJP leaders were also present.
