Indian Medical Association, Mohali Branch organized a Blood Donation Camp at Surjeet Nursing Home, Phase 6 in the college in association with Blood Bank, GMSH, Sector 16, Chandigarh in the direction of serving the society. The Camp was inaugurated by Dr Sanjeet Singh Sodhi, President IMA, Mohali Branch. A huge response was received from the Doctors of IMA members along with many non-medicos persons.
While speaking on the occasion Dr. Sanjeet Singh Sodhi said that this is the first of the series of blood donation camps that the IMA Mohali plans to hold at regular intervals at different locations in Mohali. This is a social cause which should be furthered by one and all. Dr. Sodhi further stated that Blood Donation is safe and more and more people should make it a regular feature to donate blood to save lives. He further said that if we could motivate people, they will also come forward to donate blood. It is create awareness among the masses that by donating blood we do not lose anything but through this noble act, they could potentially save precious lives of some one.
