A team of Udhampur district administration today visited various transit camps established for Shri Amarnathji Yatra and took stock of arrangements made for their stay.Additional Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana accompanied by Additional Superintendent of police M.L Kainth reviewed arrangements including accommodation, water supply, electricity, sanitation, fire safety, availability of ration and other amenities for the convenience of Yatris. The team also interacted with Yatris putting up at these transit camps and took their views regarding the facilities made available to them.
The ADC directed to all the camp officers to put in their coordinated efforts in providing best possible facilities to the Yatris. It is pertinent to mention that the District Administration has already setup 35 transit camps at different locations and have made elaborate arrangements for the stay of the pilgrims.Meanwhile Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chenani and other Tehsil Officers visited the different transit camps set up in the area and reviewed the arrangements for civic amenities.Among others Project Officer, DRDA Dr. Jagdish Mehra, Tehsildar Shabir Ahmed and other officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
