Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh held its 6th Convocation at Aryans Campus situated on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh. Media Advisor to CM, Punjab, Sh. Harcharan Bains was the Chief Guest on the occasion; Ex-CBI Director, S. Joginder Singh was the Guest of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. Around 250 B.Tech, MBA and B.Ed students of Aryans were conferred degrees.The convocation was inaugurated with Lamp Lighting ceremony followed by Saraswati Vandana. The ceremony was formally started with an address by Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education where she shared the progress report of the university and extended his wishes to the students.Harcharan Bains while giving the convocation address congratulated and motivated the students to remain inquisitive throughout their lives, saying this would ensure constant growth of their knowledge. He requested the students to follow the path of truth in whichever endeavour they undertake.

While addressing the faculty and students of the Aryans Group of Colleges on the occasion, Harcharan Bains said that Challenges to education today is to shift from a localized factory model to one that prepares its students to function in an increasingly interconnected and rapidly changing globalized world. Education must prepare youth for integration into societies and economies from highly diverse, linguistic, ethnic, religious, racial and cultural backgrounds. Children should be taught ‘to learn how to learn’ in view of the availability of enormous amount of information now available through the internet.S. Joginder Singh added that global forces have made considerable impact on India at all levels of its life, penetrating its economy and reshaping its thinking and mode of operation. India today is quite different from what it was barely 20 years ago. India’s doctors, engineers, IT specialists, space scientists, academician and management professionals are present in the Northern parts in large numbers making the country proud.

While congratulating the students, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that “The World is waiting for people who are able to think, analyze and apply and I can proudly say that these young talents will make great progress and positively impact business and society in the coming years”. Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group of Colleges gave Vote of Thanks to the Chief Guest for sparing his valuable time to address motivate and encourage the Aryans students. He said, “Aryans Group has constantly added value by incorporating the best business and technical practices and philosophies to bridge the gap between education through books and the practical realities of the outside world so that the students are fully equipped to deliver their best.”Prof. Roshan Lal Kataria, Mrs Rajni Kataria (Founders), Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General; Dr. A.L Gaaba, Principal, Aryans College of Engineering; Prof. A.P. Jain, Director; Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, V.P. Mangotra, Principal, Aryans College of Law; Dr. T.L. Kaushal, Director, Aryans Business School, Dr. A.S. Balgir etc were also present on the occasion.
