Refusing demands to make the Income Declaration Scheme 2016 more attractive, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday said the IDS is "not a seasonal sale"."There are many in the business community who are asking to make it more attractive. But this is not a seasonal sale," Jaitley said at the IDS workshop here organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci).The violator cannot be given better facilities than the honest assessee who regularly pays his taxes, he said.In fact, there is a legitimate analysis in the Central Board Of Direct Taxes (CBDT) that some of the earlier schemes could have been considered discriminatory against the honest tax payer, he added.
