Claiming that PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder is acting like Aamir Khan’s “Ghajini” on the issue of his family’s accounts in foreign banks, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann today said that his (Amarinder’s) denying knowledge of the Swiss Bank accounts of his family looks like that he is suffering from the selective memory loss.“How can it be possible that he has no knowledge of his family’s bank accounts in the Swiss bank? It is possible only in a case when you have so many accounts in the foreign banks and you don’t remember about some particular account in some particular foreign bank”, Head of the AAP’s Campaign Committee, Mann said.Perhaps Amarinder has taken a leaf from his political mentor and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who also pretends like this when he is asked any uncomfortable question by media.It is pertinent to mention here that former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh has reportedly told the income-tax (I-T) department that he doesn't recall his association with any UK-based trust and even about his and family’s bank accounts in Swiss Banks.I-T officials had asked six questions to Amarinder on March 30, including him being an alleged beneficiary of the UK-based Jacaranda Trust.
The officials have alleged that the total assets of the trust are worth Rs 460 crore.The issue pertains to the 2011 I-T probe into the alleged HSBC accounts of businessmen and political leaders on the basis of information received from French authorities.In March this year, I-T had accused Amarinder's son Raninder of producing false accounts and documents as well as lying under oath in connection with the UK-based trust and money stashed in four companies in British Virgin Islands. Amarinder called the investigation politically motivated.Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has already exposed Captain Amarinder Singh on his foreign bank accounts and even specified the particular account numbers of his family members, Mann said.
On the statement of Amarinder that Kejriwal believes in the policy of “Use & throw”, Mann said “Captain saab tuhanu pata hona chahida hai kee Sonia Gandhi tuhade naal eh policy apna rahi hai” (Captain Sahib you must know that Sonia Gandhi is adopting this policy with you.”“You yourself admitted that you were about to float a new party, if not given the Command of Congress. How can Sonia Gandhi spare you for such an indiscipline? Mann quipped while posing this query to Amarinder.“Don’t worry about us as we are united to contest the political battle with SAD-BJP-Congress combine”, AAP MP said,Replying to the personal attack Amarinder has made against him for his behaviour in Parliament, Mann said “A person, who is virtually having zero percent attendance in parliament in the last three consecutive sessions, has no right to speak on me, who always raised questions regarding Punjab in strong voice in Parliament”.
