Thousands gathered on Sunday at Qalamabad Langate to offer funeral prayers in absentia for the martyrs, who felt to the bullets of security forces in various parts of Kashmir after the death of Hizab commander Burhan Wani.Addressing the gathering AIP president and MLA Langate Er Rashid said that Indian state may celebrate death of Burhan but forgets that it has lost the bigger battle in Kashmir. Er Rashid said, “People do celebrate deaths of terrorists in any part of the world but what forces masses from Karna to Chkandabag to take to streets and without caring for their lives, and to protest against the killing of Burhan Wani. It is proven that Burhan ruled hearts and India ruled heads. Why lakhs attended his funeral and why has Govt. been left with just one option to deal and kill kashmiris with lathies, tear gasses and bullets.”He said that the fact is that GOI does not treat or believe Kashmiris as their own people and has fully understood that it has failed to win hearts of Kashmiri people. “The confession made by security agencies that Burhan and his team had not crossed LOC to get weapons, is itself evidence that Pakistan has not been involved in the uprising and what so ever is happening in J&K is spontaneous and indigenous,” he said.
Either GOI should declare every kashmiri a terrorist or must understand that J&K problem is beyond law and order issue and needs a resolution. Unless India does not accept the disputed nature of J&K, from Nehru to Modi every Indian ruler is responsible for every single killing in Kashmir. It is due to broken promises of India that has forced Burhan and hundreds like him to take arms in their hands and snatch their beloved ones from their parents ” Er Rashid appealed Mehbooba Mufti, Umar Abdullah and others that they should show some consistency and stop changing colours. He said “If Umar or Mehbooba have some self respect and care about their people they must stop acting like mouth pieces of New Delhi and must tell louder and clear that J&K is nor India’s integral part and giving people of the state across LOC right to self determination is the only way to restore peace in the region. Unfortunately both these leaders and their puppets in the assembly have been saying different things at different places and have been creating confusions by their Delhi made formulas, thus preparing a ground to get Kashmiris killed and humiliated.
