Oakridge International School resumed after the vacation with a bang. To ensure that the student’s first day be amazing and that leads to a perfect return, the day began with the children entering the school premises with complete energy. An obstacle course was created at the entrance for the children to hop and jump on. The first obstacle started with a hop scotch that led to pebble jump, jump between the sticks, balance on the room and cross the pond. The students entered the school laughing and having fun and that is how the entire day went by.
The teachers had created photo frames for the students so that the first day could be recorded and that the memory of the same stays for life. Various games, songs, dance and art activities were planned for the students to have fun and at the same time the first day jitters were left way back.The principal, Ramanjit Ghuman stated that a school is alive only when it is filled with the voices of the children. The presence of students is what makes a simple building into a place of learning. The students left the school with a sense of jubilation and awaiting what is in store for them in the coming days. She further added that when we begin with a positive and enthusiastic frame of mind everything goes in a stride.
