Separatist organization Salvation Movement Monday staged a protest demanding the release of organization chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat who according to protesters was picked up by police in Gulshanpora Bypass area in the outskirts of Srinagar city.The protesters who assembled here in Press Enclave demanded that all the political detainees should be released before Eid. The protesters who were carrying placards and banners slammed forces for carrying nocturnal raids, arrest spree and detention of Pro-freedom leaders and innocent youths.“A day after Pakharpora firing incident Bhat was arrested from his residence by SOG Budgam and since then neither family members nor the Salvation Movement leaders are being allowed to meet him,” the protesters told CNS adding that health condition of prisoners are deteriorating day by day due to scorching heat.
