Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash today visited various Eidgahs, Masjids and shrines of Baramulla town and took stock of the arrangements put in place for Eid prayers.DC was accompanied by Joint Director Planning, A.G Malik, Tehsildar Baramulla, Irfan Bahadur, Executive officer, Municipal Council Baramulla, Shabir Ahmad, Engineers from PHE, PDD, R&B, Auqaf committee Members and Various officers from different departments.Dr Naqash asked the officials of PDD and PHE departments to provide un-interrupted Power and water supply to the people particularly on auspicious days of Eid and asked the PHE officials to make arrangements of tanker service outside the Eidgahs and Masjid were large congregations are expected on Eid.
He also directed the officials of Animal Husbandry department to provide adequate supply of boiler birds to the people. DC was informed that various sale centers have been established in the entire district. He directed the R&B department to repair approach link roads of the Eidgahs and various Masjids of the town so that the people don’t face inconvenience and also directed ARTO to provide better transport facility to the people on the eve of holy festival.Dr. Nasir also visited various markets of the town during the visit DC asked all the traders to display rate lists at their shops and ensure availability of all essential commodities on reasonable rates issued by the government.
