Vigilance Bureau Nabs A.S.I. Red Handed Taking Bribe Of Rs. 5000

The Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, has nabbed an A.S.I. Sukhchain Singh red handed for taking bribe of Rs. 5000.Disclosing this, a spokesman of the bureau said that the accused A.S.I.  Sukhchain Singh incharge police post Himtana, Police Station Amargarh, District Sangrur was demanding a bribe of Rs. 10000 from the complainant Lakhvir Singh, R/o Village Himtana, Tehsil Malerkotla, District Sangrur in lieu of not registering a case against him on the complaint of B.L.E.O. Malerkotla and attesting the compromise reached in the matter of a complaint against Lakhvir Singh.The spokesman further said that the accused A.S.I. had taken first installment of Rs. 5000 on 22nd June, 2016 and was now caught taking the 2nd installment of the same amount. Further investigations are on.
