HWO donates books to students

Mushtaq Pahalgami, social activist and president, Himalayan Welfare Organization Pahalgam, visited Government High School Batkoot and Government High School Laripora in Pahalgam with his team today to donate books on syllabus among students.“This is in continuation of HWO's longstanding efforts of involvement with school students, especially in the far flung areas,” Mushtaq Pahalgami said.Earlier, the organisation had donated books and computer sets to schools different schools in Pahalgam.Besides, donating books awareness was also created about HWO's Lidder River and Save Shahkul Campaign and students were encouraged to join the campaign for spreading environmental consciousness and a sense of social duty.

Mushtaq Pahalgami in his address hoped that a better society will result from collective progressive social action and through the sustained efforts of schools and civil society organizations.The event was also attended by Head Master High School Batkoot Dhara Singh Ji,Head Master Laripora High School Ghulam Hassan Mir, Chairman Tourist Taxi Stand Pahalgam Fayaz Ahmad Magray, President Photographers Association Pahalgam Muhammad Iqbal Bhat, General Secretary HWO Pahalgam Manzoor Ahmad Magray and others.
