Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board Need Base and Causal Labors Union Thursday staged protest here at press enclave against the government for failing to regularize them from past eight years. The protestors who were demanding regularization assembled here and chanted anti-government slogans. The protestors told KNS that they have been serving the department from past eight years and they are yet to be regularized. They alleged that the higher ups of their department are not forwarding their list to the government for regularization.“Government should not ignore the hard work and sufferings of need base and casual labours who despite facing hardships have not been regularized from past eight years, which is sheer injustice with us,” said a protester Tariq Ahmad. The protestors said that some of them have crossed the age bar limits that makes them feel inconvenient and cannot apply for any other department.“We appeal Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to intervene into the matter and redress the genuine demands of labours,” they said.Meanwhile, the protesters later dispersed peacefully.
