A special campaign “Parivar Bachao” started by Women Wing of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab to get signature of womenfolk against the menace of drug abuse, unemployment and price rise has been formally launched at a brief function held at party office in Sarabha Nagar here today. Ludhiana Zone Coordinator Col. C M Lakhanpal inaugurated the campaign by handing over the required literature to the volunteers of Women wing. Earlier the detailed programme was chalked out in a meeting of the office bearers and volunteers of Zonal Women Wing presided by State Vice President and Zonal president of Women Wing Rajwant Kaur.
Giving details, Rajwant Kaur informed that different teams of women workers of AAP would knock every door of the 9 Assembly constituencies to get their signature against the menace of drug abuse, unemployment and price rise. She added that several women Squad, comprising at least 20 women volunteers would visit every house of all 9 assembly segments in Ludhiana Zone and after getting the signatures in all the 13 Zones, these would be handed over to the President of India to express the anguish of womenfolk of Punjab against the state government.Rajwant Kaur said that Women Squads would carry a form in which signatures of women would be taken that they are with AAP in this fight against drug abuse, unemployment and price rise. The campaign started with a bang today in the Ludhiana North and Ludhiana west constituencies with teams lead by Mrs. Navneet Kaur and Bhawna respectively.
