DDC Pulwama has urged the District officers for effective utilization of Rs. 1.2 Crore that has been earmarked by Govt. under Special Central Assistance for Tribal Sub Plan for district Pulwama. He directed the district heads of various concerned Departments to submit their plans within a week time so as to ensure time bound utilization of the funds under TSP.It was informed that under Infrastructure Development Component of TSP, Rs. 15 lakh for RDD, Rs. 10 lakh for PHE, Rs. 7.5 lakh for Agriculture Department, Rs. 15 lakh for Health Department, Rs. 7.5 lakh for Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments and Rs. 1.5 lakh for Science and Technology Department have been allocated.
To settle the issue of Gujjar Bakerwal hostel, ACR was directed to identify the state land for construction of the Hostel.It was decided that village Sangerwani will be developed as Model/Smart Village. Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama was nominated as Nodal Officer and he was asked to get the DPRs prepared from various allied departments.In order to increase their employability, special focus was laid on the importance of Skill Development of the Tribal population especially in trades of Cutting & Tailoring, Plumbering, Electrician and Handicrafts. DC called upon Superintendent ITI to work out the modus operandi for imparting training.
