Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffer Akbar Bhat said that India shouldn’t been given Security Council membership as it is hell-bent to massacre Muslims and other minorities in the country.According to a statement issued to KNS, he said that despite the passage of 70 years Kashmiris aren’t been given their birth right ‘right to self determination’ instead have martyred lakhs of innocent Kashmiris through its military might by resorting to oppressive and suppressive tact’s.Zaffer Akbar Bhat expressed these views while addressing Iftar Party organized renowned Kashmiri leader Altaf Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Hassan Malik, Sunaullah Dar, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Bhat, Advocate Parvez Ahmad, Mushtaq Askarie, Abdul Mateen and Mohd Sayed Beg.

He apprised participants about the prevailing situation and said that Indian forces continue to perpetrate grave human rights violations. Bhat asked international human rights groups and Pakistani civil society to highlight the violations.Sikh leader Narendra Singh Khalsa also addressed the gathering and said that despite odds ongoing freedom struggle will be taken to its logical conclusion.
