Minister for Rural Development, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Abdul Haq informed the House that 104 road projects including one of Chenani constituency viz upgradation of Udhampur-Ghordi road were recommended by the State Government to Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for consideration of approval of funds under Centre Road Fund (CRF) during last financial year.Replying to a question by Mr. Dina Nath Bhagat, the Minister said that out of these road projects the concerned Union Ministry accorded sanction to only 25 road projects during the said year and these do not include the road project of upgradation of Udhampur-Ghordi road in Chenani constituency.The Minister said although the riding surface of Chenani-Pattan Garh road is not so good, yet it is trafficable. He said that the formulation of DPR for improvement and upgradation of the said road is presently under process.In response to the supplementaries of members, the Minister said that the concerned Department would consider the change of nomenclature of Udhampur-Ghordi road to Udhampur-Ramnagar road. He said every scheme has its own parameters and Government efforts to cover the construction of maximum road projects under different schemes in the state.Mr. Ranbir Singh Pathania and Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta raised supplementaries to the main question.
