CADD Centre , the training division of Sky Tech Engineers, a Srinagar based (ISO Certified Engineering Consultancy) in association with SSM College of Engineering & Technology organised a one day workshop cum seminar on CAD/CAM titled as “ Emerging trends of CAD in Civil & Mechanical Engineering”In forenoon session, the workshop was attended by more than two hundred students from Mechanical engineering department including technical staff .Mechanical CAD experts conducted the session with hands on practise & presentations on Mechanical Engineering application software’s viz; AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, CATIA & ANSYS wherein working, importance, global trends & scope of softwares were demonstrated.In afternoon session, the workshop was attended by more than three hundred students from Civil engineering department including technical staff Civil CAD experts from Delhi, conducted the sessions with hands on practise on Mechanical Engineering application software’s viz; AutoCAD, STAAD Pro V8i, Revit Architecture & Civil 3D CAD in which the working, importance, global trends & scope of software’s were demonstrated Both the sessions were concluded by technical question & answer sessions which were replied to the best of its professional way by the experts from Valley & Delhi.
The CSR initiative taken up by SkyTech Engineers is a part of “Awareness Campaigns” which shall be held in every Engineering College campus to offer career counselling in CAD/ PPM Industry, the initiative was appreciated by the authorities of SSM College of Engineering & Technologies & Managing Director of CADD Centre Training Services – Chennai wherein both extended their full support & cooperation for conducting such awareness programs. The chairman of College invited the Technical team to conducted these types of workshops in all Engineering streams.The workshop was technically supported by the corporate office of CADD Centre Training Services in Chennai to create a CAD awareness for the Engineering students of the Valley.The coordinator of the event Wajahat Ahmed informed that one more Centre has been opened by the corporate office in Nowgam Bye pass to promote the CAD / CAM skills among the youth of Kashmir, as these courses are included in the Prime ministers Skill India Mission & will provide employment opportunities in the valley.It was further informed that the state government has approved & engaged “SkyTech Engineers” as CAD Skill Training provider, for imparting CAD based skill training to the aspirants & deserving BPL category candidates as a continuing part of skill trainings under Skill Development Mission supported by Central Government.
