Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary, today, replying to a question of Mohammad Muzaffar Parray, informed that the Haritar branch of Lift Irrigation Scheme ‘Haritar Tarzoo’ stands completed and commissioned.The Minister informed that 90 percent work on Tarzoo branch was completed and shall be made functional during the current financial year. He said, Chief Minister during her tour to the area had announced Rs 50 lakh for completion of the scheme for which case has been taken up with Planning Development & Monitoring Department. He said the work for construction of Saddle blocks/ Anchor blocks stands allotted for an amount of Rs 18 lakh.Intervening, Minister for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari informed that the project was sanctioned in 2008-09 and a portion of land for laying water pipes was coming under Wet Land, which led to delay and eventually cost escalation.The matter has been sorted out and the project will be completed soon.Qaiser Jamsheed Lone raised supplementary to the main question.
