Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a Junior Engineer of Punjab Sewerage Board red handed accepting bribe of Rs. 45,00.Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that JE Gurwinder Singh posted at Executive Engineer, Sewerage Board, Patiala was nabbed on the complaint of Prem Pal Singh resident of village Shadihari Tehsil Sunam, Distict Sangrur. The complainant alleged that he had applied for the Tube Well connection and when the connection was approved, this JE was demanded bribe of Rs. 5000 to allot connection to this tube well in his fields. He said that the deal was struck at Rs. 4500.On the tip off provided by the complainant a trap was laid and the JE Gurwinder Singh was nabbed red handed accepting bribe of Rs. 4500.
