Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat Monday appealed United Nations and its five permanent members (P5) to stop India from implanting RSS agenda in Kashmir for a demographic change to dilute the Kashmir dispute.Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press club, Zaffer Akbar Bhat termed the prevailing situation in Kashmir alarming and urged United Nation Secretary General and its five permanent members (P5)-China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States to use their influence and stop India’s plan of demographic change. He said that despite giving assurance to world’s highest forum, the Indian armed forces continue to perpetuate grave human rights violations in Kashmir, ironically at time when India is making desperate attempts for getting permanent seat in United Nations, Kashmiris are being killed and jailed.

He said that people are being deprived of their social, political and religious rights in Kashmir and pertinently pro-freedom leadership is not being even allowed to offer Friday prayers.Zaffer reaffirmed its stand on Kashmir issue and said that it can be resolved through uninterrupted dialogue process, however added that Kashmiris should be considered primary party to dispute and dialogue should be held between Kashmiris, Pakistan and India. He said that India should shun its stagnant policy on Kashmir as both the countries involved in the conflict are nuclear armed and any delay in resolving the dispute can spoil the peace and prosperity in the South Asian region.Zaffer said that both the countries must start a meaningful and result oriented dialogue process for resolving the dispute according to aspirations of Kashmiris and according to UN resolutions.

During the press conference Zaffer Akbar Bhat put forward these demands.

, Establishment of colonies for Indian armed forces (Sainiks) and separate townships for Kashmiri pundits should be stopped as it will damage the communal harmony and brotherhood in the region. While as both the policies are against to Para 2 of Shumala agreement

, United Nation should initiate those steps through which Kashmiris will get their brirth right ‘right to self determination.

, India must release all Kashmiri political detainees lashing in Indian Jails

, all draconian laws including AFSAP, PSA and others should be revoked and India must ensure demilitarization of Kashmir within a spuliated time.

, India must release Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirvaiz Umar Farooq, Mohd Yasin Malik and all other pro-freedom leaders and activists from house detention.

, International crime tribunal must be setup in Kashmir for investigation human rights violations perpetrated by Indian armed forces.

, India must allow International human rights organizations including Amnesty International, Red Cross and all non-government organizations to visit Kashmir.

, Pakistan should continue with its 69 years old stand of Kashmir issue.

, Pakistani media particularly electronic media (TV channels) must play its role in highlighting the human rights violations and putting a clear picture of Kashmir before world community.

, All Political, religious, social and non-government organizations of Pakistan should help the ongoing freedom struggle of Kashmiris like they helped in Past and Pakistan should utilize its all embassies in world to make a favorable environment for Kashmir resolutions

, more roads and meeting points should be made functional for displaced families of both sides

, Colonies being constructed on Israeli pattern should be stopped as they could bring a demographic change in Kashmir.

, India has lost Kashmir due to which it is now implementing such polices to crush the ongoing movement. Salvation Movement along with all the Pro-freedom groups will resist such policies and will not deter from offering sacrifices. Zaffer said that every Kashmiris wants to see Pakistan a prosper country. He thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief and Pakistani army Chief General Raheel Sharief for their stand of Kashmir issue, which UN-doubtfully help in peaceful resolution of the dispute. (KNS)
