Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Saturday visited Botengo Sopore and expressed condolences with former APHC Chairman and senior Hurriyat leader Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat and his bereaved family over the demise of his elder brother Muhammad Dilawar Bhat.Expressing grief and sorrow over the demise of Muhammad Dilawar Bhat, the Mirwaiz while paying tributes to the services and sacrifices of the Bhat family towards the ongoing resistance movement said while people of Kashmir had offered innumerable sacrifices of life and property, the sacrifices of leadership too could not be overlooked and Prof. Bhat’s family too had never lagged behind in this aspect.

Conveying his sympathies to Prof.Bhat and the members of bereaved family, the Mirwaiz prayed for the departed soul.Other prominent Hurriyat leaders who expressed their sympathies with Prof. Bhat included Masroor Abbas Ansari, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and M S Rehman Shams while other Hurriyat members who were part of the delegation included Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi and a large number of Hurriyat activists.Later, the Mirwaiz visited Pathanpur, Pattan to express sympathy with senior resistance leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan over the demise of his father and resistance leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan.The Mirwaiz recalled the contributions of the Ghulam Muhammad Khan toward the ongoing resistance movement and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and forbearance to the bereaved family.
