Minister For Health & Medical Education Bali Bhagat while replying the Calling Attention Notice by Mr. Sham Lal Bhagat informed the House that one Doctor is posted in PHC Assar, who is also looking after the work of Block Medical Officer, Assar.The Minster further said that there is no sanctioned post of doctor in Accidental hospital Khellani. However, he said, one MBBS Medical Officer is deployed for duties by internal arrangement for patient care.The Minister said that Khellani is an accident prone area and it was decided to have an accidental hospital there, so that immediate treatment facilities could be provided to the patients. He said that the building for Accidental Hospital has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.99 crore and stands completed. The construction of mortuary is also in progress, the Minister added.The Minister further informed the House that a proposal for creation of 112 posts of Specialist, Doctors, Paramedical and other staff was received from the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu for approval. However, the proposal was examined and it was found on higher side and therefore, Director Health Services Jammu was requested to project bare minimum requirement in a phased manner.The Minister assured that one more MBBS doctor will be deputed to PHC Assar within a week’s time for patient care.
