A delegation of Warehouse traders today called on Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mr Kavinder Gupta and projected their demands including development of Food grain Mandi (Warehouse) Nehru Market.MLA Jammu West Mr Sat Sharma and MLA Jammu East Mr Rajesh Gupta were also present on the occasion.The traders appealed to the Speaker to issue directions for development of the market by creating modern facilities to facilitate trade activities at the historic warehouse. The traders also called for rationalizing of LoC trade as per the government policy. Raising other issues, the delegation called for taking adequate steps to safeguard the interests of local retail and wholesale traders. They also sought cut in VAT on different daily use items for the benefit of people and traders.The Speaker gave a patient hearing and assured to look into their genuine demands.
