J&K Salvation Movement Saturday staged a protest demonstration, demanding immediate release of Kashmiri political prisoner languishing in various jails in and outside J&K.The party activists led by Rafiq Ahmad assembled at Press Enclave here to protest over the continuous detention of political prisoners. “We are protesting to draw the attention of the international community to solve the Kashmir dispute,” they told CNS.They demanded immediate unconditional release of political prisoners, especially those who have completed the term of sentence awarded to them. Terming the detention of Muhammad Yaseen Malik and other separatists as ‘illegal’, they said that hundreds of Kashmiri people have been languishing in state and outside state jails while most of them have completed their jail term. They appealed international community to use their good offices to pave the release of these detained political prisoners. (CNS)
