PSPCL sets up 6 control rooms to ensure uninterrupted 8 hour power supply to farmers

Provides toll free number 1912 to register complaints against power cuts

Acting promptly on the instructions issued by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal to insure uninterrupted 8 hour power supply to farm sector during paddy season, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has setup 6 control rooms besides a toll free number ‘1912’ have also been provided to the consumers to register their complaints regarding unscheduled power cuts.In a statement issued here, an official spokesman said power consumers can report unscheduled power cuts by sending sms ‘No Supply’ at toll free number ‘1912’ but prior to that consumers have to register their mobile numbers on this helpline. In addition to this “PSPCL has also setup 6 control rooms at zone level under the supervision of Chief Engineer of the zone to redress the complaints of consumers, he added.The Spokesman said, “Quick action will be taken by concerned official on receiving any complaint on 1912, in case consumers is still not satisfied, they can contact at the control room numbers in their respective regions for seeking any information or to register the grievance”.Spokesman further added that there was weather forecast of good monsoon during this season which would prove to be fruitful for farmers but PSPCL was committed to provide uninterrupted 8 hour power supply to farm sector in any situation.
