Legislator Engineer Rasheed who tried to disrupt the Budget speech of Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu was marshaled out of the Legislative Assembly while he created uproar in well seeking action police and army personnel involved in the killing of five civilian in Kupwara last month.Earlier opposition National Conference legislators staged walk-out from Jammu and Kashmir Assembly minutes after Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu began his budget speech.As soon as Drabu started his budget speech, NC lawmakers including Working president of the Party Omar Abdullah staged walk-out while seeking government response on the killings of five civilians in Kupwara.
Shortly after their walk out, MLA Langate Engineer Rasheed entered into well and sought reply from the government over the Handwara incident. “You had claimed that House will be informed about Handwara killings in three days. Where the information is and why the government is silent over this sensitive issue,” Rasheed told the Speaker.While Finance Minister continued his Budget speech, Engineer Rasheed confronted him asking him to stop talking about money and talk about the precious human lives. “Innocent killings issue is more important than your Budget speech. Stop and answer what happened to Handwara probe,” Rasheed told Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu.Despite warning Rasheed to maintain silence, the legislator continued to demand a reply on the issue prompting the Speaker Kavinder Gupta to drag him out from the House through Marshals.
