DHSK organizes tuberculosis update 2016

Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) today organized a day-long seminar titled "Tuberculosis Update 2016" today at Government Medical College Srinagar Auditorium as a part of Continuous Medical Education.The aim of the seminar was to create awareness about Tuberculosis besides celebrating the persistent improvement in treatment of tuberculosis. Several luminaries in the field of chest medicine and noted physicians of the valley were present on the occasion.The conference was also attended by more than 200 doctors who represented tertiary and peripheral Hospitals.Dr G.Q Allaqaband who was guest of honour briefed the audience about the advances made in the field of chest medicine and tuberculosis. Dr. Kaiser Ahmed, Principal GMC Srinagar was Chief Guest during the event.At the end of the seminar, Dr S. N Dhar was conferred with lifetime achievement award and was felicitated with excellence award for his efforts to implement and organize tuberculosis care programmes in the state.Director Health Kashmir appreciated the efforts of Organizing Committee who worked hard to make the seminar a success.
