Rs 30.65 cr spent under irrigation sector in Nowshera division during last 5 yrs: Sham Lal Choudhary

The Minister for Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) Mr. Sham Lal Choudhary today informed the house that the funds of Rs 36.72 crore were allocated to the irrigation sector of I&FC division Nowshera in the last five years.Responding to a question raised by Mr. Surinder Kumar Choudhary, the Minister said the department has spent Rs 30.65 crore out of the allocated budget in these five years (2011-2016).The Minister informed the house that Rs 94.75 lakh were spent out of allocated 95 lakh under FPW Flood Sector in the division, while Rs 29 lakh were spend under OPW Flood Sector and Rs 34.81 lakh were spent under BADP.The Minister further informed the house that 1340 crates were purchased during the past three years from the authorized government departments and tenders were floated by the department who are authorized to issue the crates.  He said that 52870 bags of cement were purchased by I&FC division in the last three years.
