Calling people to show steadfastness and consistency in pursuing the mission of the martyrs of Kashmir including Shaheed-e-Millat, Hurriyat (M) Chairman and Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Wednesday said people needed to devise a proper strategy and show unity for taking Kashmir’s just struggle to its logical conclusion.Addressing a public gathering organized by the Jammu Kashmir AAC Halqa Nawa Kadal, the Mirwaiz while participating in the Haftaa-e-Shahadat programme to mark the martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone and Martyrs of Hawal at Nawa Kadal Chowk termed the sacrifices of the people of Shehar-e-Khas as exemplary and paid glowing tributes to them for taking the resistance movement forward at its every stage and braving odds while being at the receiving end of the atrocities committed against them.He said history was witness to the fact that whenever any unpleasant incident event occurs in any part of Jammu Kashmir, the state targets Shehar-e-Khas by cracking down on the people and the entire area.
Referring to curbs being imposed on offering prayers at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, the Mirwaiz said this was being done under a ploy to belittle the importance, significance and centrality of Masjid and silence the voice of the voiceless people raised from the pulpit of Jamia Masjid Srinagar.Thanking people of Shehar-e-Khas for showing their support and deep involvement with Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee for the past several decades, the APHC Chairman said not only had they supported the organisation but also made it a strong platform and called for making it even stronger by urging its office bearers and workers to ensure more and more people join this deep-rooted institution.The Mirwaiz said APHC could represent Kashmiri nation in a better way and deliver better results only when its constituents would be strong.
