A seminar ‘Islam Main Aamal-e-Sauleh Ki Ahmiyat’ under the Haftaa-e-Shahadat programme organised by the Anjuman-e-Nusrat-ul-Islam to mark the 26th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq at Anjuman-e-Nusrat-ul-Islam Trust Asahajipora, Islamabad was held on Wednesday. The seminar was presided over by Anjuman-e-Nusrat-ul-Islam President Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq.Besides the students of the Islamia Higher Secondary School, Rajouri Kadal, students from various educational institutions of south Kashmir participated in the seminar and presented their viewpoints on the topic of the seminar.Various religious and social personalities, intellectuals and scholars and a large number of people from south Kashmir attended the seminar.
The Mirwaiz distributed cash prizes, citations and mementoes among the nine youth who secured winning positions in the debate competition.Rashid Nazir of Salfia Institute Islamabad bagged the first position, Atif Ahmad of the Islamia Higher Secondary School, Rajouri Kadal finished second while Insha Gulzar of the Anjuman-e-Nusrat-ul-Islam Trust Islamabad secured third position in the seminar.
On the occasion, while delivering his presidential address, the Mirwaiz said besides laying emphasis on acquiring education there was a need to provide training to the youth to stay away from vices and wrongdoings and indulge in Aamal-e-Sauleh.Terming the faith and Aamal-e-Sauleh as a must for a human being, he said while staying in this world, how they behave with others and how much kindness they shower on others determines the fate of their afterworld and also creates an atmosphere of social co-existence and brotherhood.Calling upon the parents and teachers to show the true path of honesty and kindness to their children and students, the Mirwaiz said it was their duty to make them understand the difference between right and wrong, truth and falsehood, good and evil.Stressing that the Anjuman-e-Nusrat-ul-Islam run educational institutes were not being run on commercial basis, he said the main aim was to help the economically backward and needy children to acquire modern education and the Anjuman had been doing so for over a 100 years now and he results were before everyone to see.Urging the well-off and sensitive people of south Kashmir to come forward and help these children by joining hands with Anjuman, the Mirwaiz said with their efforts, these institutions could be made stronger and the reliance of children on other educational institutions could be brought down by providing them affordable education at the institutions run by the Anjuman.
Recalling the religious, educational, social and political contributions of the Shaheed-e-Millat toward Jammu Kashmir, the Mirwaiz while paying glowing tributes to him said he always wanted the youth to excel in Science and Technology fields along with inculcating religious and moral education.On the occasion, the Anjuman-e-Nusrat-ul-Islam publication ‘Shaheed-e-Millat Number 2016’ was released which is a collection of articles and reports by prominent writers and scholars.Talking to newsmen on the sidelines of the function, the Mirwaiz condemned the Government of India and its allies in the state government for conspiring to establish Sainik Colonies and satellite colonies for Kashmiri Pandits and termed it as unacceptable.He said this was being done to harm the interest of the people of Kashmir and warned that All Parties Hurriyat Conference would protest against it tooth and nail.
