Nirankari Baba’s Mortal Remains cremated At Nigam Bodh Ghat

Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj was given the final farewell with deep spirit of faith and devotion by lakhs of his devotees as his mortal remains were cremated at CNG Crematorium, Nigam Bodh Ghat here today. Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji, who succeeded him last night as the Spiritual Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission, and other members as well as relatives of the holy family were present. The last journey began from Ground No.8 at 9.00 a.m. Baba Ji’s body was placed on a flowered bedecked open vehicle. It was led by functionaries of the Mission, all clad in white and the Sewadal men and women in uniform. Satguru Mata Ji followed in her own vehicle. Then followed the open vehicle carrying the body of Baba Ji’s son-in-law AvneetSetya.

Baba Ji’s daughter Sudeeksha Ji and other members of Setyafamily were seated by the side. The two bodies were followed by the devotees who had come to attend the cremation from all over India and abroad. Devotees were also present in huge numbers along the route on both the sides. In the meantime, more than five lakh devotees of the Mission from across the country and abroad are estimated to have received‘AntimDarshan’ of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj since his body was placed in Ground No. 8 at 2:00 p.m. on May 16, 2016 until 4:00 a.m. today. Avneet’s body was also laid by the side of Baba Ji’s mortal remains.

At Ground No. 8, late last night, Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji, the gracious spouse of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj was declared the next Spiritual Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission. The announcement was made by Rev. H. S. Upashak from UK in the presence of thousands of devotees of the Mission. The President of the Sant Nirankari Mandal Rev.JRD ‘Satyarthi’ Ji presented the White Scarf (Dupatta), the symbol of Satguru’s spiritual powers, and Holy Sister Niranjan Ji welcomed her with a garland.

Rev Mata Ji was hailed as Satguru by the devotees present in the ground. Blessing the gathering, Satugru Mata Ji said,“Baba Ji was love personified. He used to ignore everybody’s faults and forgive all with love. Whatever the matter, he would always show love. That is why all of us also loved Baba Ji. Baba Ji cherished that all of us should live with a deep spirit of mutual love. Let us, therefore, make a pledge together today that as desired by Baba Ji, we shall all live with love and cooperation and take this Mission forward.”
