Congress on Sunday said that it is surprising that PDP and BJP is claiming credit for something which has already been done by the previous UPA regime.Taking a dig at PDP and BJP for laying foundation stone of Medical Colleges, JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir according to the statement issued to KNS said that establishing Medical Colleges in the State was on the top priority of the previous UPA regime, by laying foundation stone PDP and BJP is trying to befool the people in the name of the Development.

PCC Chief was addressing a one day convention of Active Members of the Party from Anantnag Constituency.Lashing out at anti people policies of State Government G.A. Mir has asked the Coalition Govt to stop confusing people on every issues. Instead of finding resolution to the problems people & state is facing, the PDP BJP coalition is playing politics on various issues in order to hide its failure as a result the State is being pushed towards a dark era.

Criticizing the State Govt for not being serious about the unemployment issue, G.A. Mir said that it is very unfortunate that unemployment problem has risen considerably, as a result, the youth of the State feel estranged and apprehensive about their future.He said the daily rated workers and other need basis workers working for a long in various departments are not being regularized for the fact State Govt has no policy for their regularization.PCC Chief asked the State Government to create more and more employment avenues for the youth and address unemployment problem and other issues people are facing in respect rehabilitation of flood affected people, Traders and other business Community and urged upon the State Govt to be serious about the employment to Youth.

Referring to the Anantnag By Elections which was scheduled to be conducted during the current month, he said that PDP is afraid of facing electorates and in order to hide its failure PDP ensured deferment of Elections to escape the defeat.He said Congress Party is committed to overall development of the State and will continue to play the role of constructive opposition in the State inorder to seek resolution of every issue people are facing due to the failure PDP BJP Coalition Govt.On this occasion PCC Chief urged upon the Active Members of Anantnag to work with great enthusiasm for strengthening the Party and serve the people to the best of their ability.Those who addressed the meeting included Former PCC President Peerzada Mohd Syed, Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Mohd Amin Bhat, General Secretaries Hilal Ahmad Shah, Surinder Singh Channi, Mohd Iqbal Mir, Farooq Malpuri.
