Member Legislative Council (MLC) Sofi Yosuf today visited Veer Siran village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, taking stock of various developmental works undergoing in the area.On the occasion, MLC also interacted with the people of the area who apprised the MLC about various issues faced by them.The MLC also donated Rs. 5 lakh from his CDF for augmenting the basic infrastructure and starting new developmental works in the village besides inaugurating various completed works.While interacting with delegations from Veer Siran and adjoining villages the MLC assured them that he would put forward their genuine demands with the concerned authorities and would ensure their timely redressal.He said people of the state irrespective of the area and terrain have the right to basic amenities and present coalition dispensation is taking proactive measures to elevate the economic stature of people especially of those living in rural areas.He also asked the officials of districts administration to use the funds judiciously so that tangible assets are provided to the people.
