Senior National Conference leader and MLA Kangan, Mian Altaf Ahmed on Thursday toured his constituency Kangan and reviewed overall health scenario in the area.
Mian Altaf accompanied by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ganderbal, Block Medical Officer (BMO) and senior officers of the health department visited Trauma hospital Kangan, PHC Hariganiwan, PHC Wussan, PHC Manigam, PHC Gutlibagh and Trauma Centre Gund, a statement said.During the visit to the hospitals Mian Altaf went around various sections of the hospitals and interacted with the patients and attendents to take stock of the medical facilities being provided to the people.
Mian Altaf asked the hospital authorities to chalk out effective strategies to provide enhanced and timely healthcare services to people and impressed for maintaining hygienic environment in and around the hospitals at all costs.Mian Altaf later while chairing the meeting of officials asked them to utilize all the available resources under Hospital Development Fund (HDF) and Rogi Kalyan Samity (RKS) for the better improvement of the services and facilities in hospitals and asked them to keep the list of the medicines available at the hospital public.He also assured the officials and locals that genuine demands like shortage doctors, Para medical staff and other issues will be taken up with the concerned Health Minister for early redressals.
