The Shiv Khori Shrine in district Reasi is witnessing a heavy rush of tourists and devotees from various parts of the state and country.Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, who is also the Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB) informed that over 5, 31, 580 lakh pilgrims have visited the shrine up to May 10, 2016. At present 4000 pilgrims are daily visiting the Shrine for the darshan of Lord Shiva and the influx is expected to increase during annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.The Deputy Commissioner said that infrastructure development programmes are being undertaken by the district administration and SSKSB.He said that besides development of Ransoo, which is the base camp of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine, various projects have been taken up with special focus on provision of drinking water and power supply.Construction of helipad and allied infrastructure along with approach road is almost complete and the helicopter service is likely to start soon, which will further boost the inflow of pilgrims, the DC added.Later a meeting of publicity committee of SSKSB was held under the chairmanship of Executive Officer SSKSB, Mahesh Sharma.
