Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz today emphasizes on hassle free work at Railway construction sites in the district and stress the need for resolving all glitches including the issues related with land acquisition. The DC was chairing a meeting of officers and representatives of different construction agencies like IRCON, AFCON and northern railways. He asked the concerned agencies to work in coordination to remove the bottlenecks, if any for the smooth work of the prestigious project. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Babu Ram, Sub Divisional Magistrate Gool Zameer Ahmed Rishu, Tehsildar Khari Tanvir-Ul Majid, General Manager IRCON D.P. Choudhary, Lt. Col (Rtd) R.J. Srinivasa, JGM Lokesh Gupta, Senior Officer AFCONS Anup Trivedi, Officer System-IT Shabir Ahmed, Executive Engineer Northren Railway Ankur Sharma, INR RP Gupta and various other companies representatives.
Earlier, General Manager IRCON apprised the meeting about current status of the construction work and some issues.While assuring full cooperation and support to the companies, the Deputy Commissioner said that the administration would make all possible efforts to ensure smooth work at all construction sites.Deputy Commissioner instructed ADC to visit the sites of work and keep close watch on it and provide support to the companies as and when required. Deputy Commissioner emphasized on the need to sensitize the locals before starting work at new construction sites. The Deputy Commissioner also asked the companies to create durable and visible assets under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to develop these areas.
