Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat while reacting to the statement of Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh, said that dialogue is the only way forward for peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict. During mass contact with the people at Narbal, Kanihama, Mazhama Beeru, Zafar welcomed the statement in which the Minister has said that Pro-freedom leadership can talk to Pakistan and said that realizing the role of Pro-freedom leadership in the dialogue process will surely make the process resulted oriented. “Better late than never, this is what we have are saying since long.

Both the countries (India and Pakistan) known that Pro-freedom leadership has a key role in the reconciliation process and India’s admission in this regard is welcomed,” Zaffer said, demanding active participation of Kashmiris into ongoing talks.

Meanwhile Zafar slammed minister for his statement wherein he had said that people and resistant leaders are Indian citizen. Kashmir was never a part of India and it is with the dint of might that India invaded and annexed state with India. Jammu and Kashmir isn’t part of India. It’s a disputed territory and internationally recognized conflict. The minister and his countrymen are living in an illusion,” he added. He said that without including Kashmiris into talks, the so-called bilateral talks between the two countries will not yield any result and will fail like they failed in the past.Commenting over the reports that puppet government is using wakf board assets for their personnel interests, Zaffer asked government to handover the properties to people of the state. He said that at no cost, Kashmiris will allow collaborators to exploit the wakf assets. He demanded a white paper from the board and urged people to take control of the shrine, masjids and wakaf assets.Zaffer said that Wakf assets are national properties of Kashmiris and those ruling and ruining will not be allowed to loot the properties. He said that Kashmiris should let known why board failed to deliver despite having assets worth of millions of rupees and why this institution failed to help deserving and destitute families.
