Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today visited various areas of Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency including Branpathri, Bonyar and Brenwar villages and got first hand appraisal of public issues besides developmental needs. He also inspected Government Primary Health Centre, Surasyar and took stock of the functioning of the Health Centre besides healthcare facilities available there.Addressing a series of public gatherings at Branpathri and Brenwar villages, the Minister said that Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency would be developed on modern lines and in this regard several micro and macro developmental projects have been sanctioned. He said by the efforts of Former Chief Minister late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the Yousmarg Development Authority has been established with the aim to promote tourism potential of the area to improve living standard of the people of the area.
Referring to the developmental works by carried out in Chrare-e-Sharief Constituency, the Minister said the construction work on Surisyar and Gogjipathri Girls Hostel having accommodation capacity of 100 students each will be started soon. He said Rs 6.12 crore would be spent on these hostels. He further said that under RMSA Rs 1.80 crore would be spent on construction of Additional Class Rooms of Bonan and Hafuru schools.The Minister announced Rs 3 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for development of Park at Branpathri. He further said that Rs 9 crore would be spent on construction of Water Supply Scheme Branpathri.
Mr. Hanjura directed the PHE authorities to ensure adequate drinking water facilities to Brenwar village and asked them to address the scarcity of water in the area and submit a detailed report in this regard.The Minister also directed the concerned authorities to prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR) for up gradation and widening of Branpathri-Hafuru road and submit the same to the concerned quarter for allotment of funds.
During inspection to PHC, Surisyar, the Minister directed the district administration to demolish the damaged infrastructure existing near premises of the hospital immediately. He also asked the concerned to prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR) for construction of fencing and development of premises of the centre and submit the same before the concerned authorities for allotment of funds.Mr. Hanjura also asked the hospital administration to ensure better healthcare facilities to the people besides cleanliness in and around the health Centre.The Minister stressed for ensuring punctuality and better patient care facilities there.The Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad and other senior officers of district administration.
