Chaudhary, was also present on the occasion. The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and also apprised her about their demands relating to promotion of handicraft, business and tourism sectors, as well as expediting pace of work on various infrastructure projects in Kashmir Division. The Chamber, inter alia, projected demands for introduction of solid waste management in city and towns with stress upon segregation of waste at source; expediting revision of Srinagar Master Plan for planned development of the city; widening of Boulevard Road and laying of a dedicated cycle track; enhancement in relief & rehabilitation package announced for traders who suffered losses in 2014 floods; broadening the scope of cross-LoC trade and travel; and putting in place a proper mechanism to streamline traffic in the summer capital. The delegation also urged the Chief Minister to flag the construction of International Trade Centre (ITC) at Pampore, which has been hanging fire for the past several years. The ITC, they said will come as a shot in the arm in marketing and sale of fabled Handicraft business, which has suffered a slump particularly in the last two years.Mehbooba Mufti gave a patient hearing to the demands raised by the delegation and asked Mr. Chaudhary and other concerned officers to ensure time-bound action. The other members of the delegation who were present included Faiz Ahmad Bakshi, Gowhar Maqbool, Fayaz Ahmad Punjabi, Nazir Ahmad Dar, Riyaz Punjabi and Nasir Hamid Khan.
