Some made groundless comments about the party and the government's policies, he said. Some even took part in "nondescript" social activities, Xi said.Ye Qing, a deputy director of the statistics bureau of Central China's Hubei province, who has attended several lectures, admitted that some opinions expressed at the lectures "crossed the line". "Before Xi took office, some party school teachers were pessimistic and tended to exaggerate social problems. Some tried to make themselves conspicuous by advocating the Western democratic system," Ye told the Global Times.
