The Member of Legislative Assembly Sonawari Constituency, Mohammad Akbar Lone today chaired an officers meeting at Community Hall Sumbal. During the meeting various developmental activities were reviewed besides several public issues were also discussed.The District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, SDM Sumbal and other concerned officers and engineers were also present in the meeting.On the occasion the concerned officers were directed to take effective measures to improve power supply in the area so that irrigation facilities are available to the farmers. For his purpose, mechanical department was asked to make all the lift irrigation pumps functional so that the farmers do not face any problem.While reviewing the developmental works, the executing agencies were directed to speed up pace of work on the ongoing projects and ensure completion of these projects within the stipulated time. The meeting also reviewed stock and supply position besides water supply facilities, status of roads, revenue matters, healthcare facilities and other services being provided to the people.Later, a number of public delegations met the MLA and appraised about their issues and demands. The MLA assured these delegations that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned quarters and considered on priority to redress their problems.
