District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal today chaired an officers meeting to review arrangements for Meraj-ul- Aalam in the District.
The meeting was attended by Superintendent Engineer, R&B, PHE, Power, Joint Director planning, SDM, Sopore, Pattan, Tangmarg and officers of various departments .During the meeting the concerned officers gave a detailed briefing to District Development Commissioner, about arrangements like Water Supply, uninterrupted power supply .On the occasion the District Development Commissioner, urged upon the officers for ensuring availability of Ration, water and power supply in the District. She Directed to officers of CA&PD to provide adequate Rice, Sugar, Atta and LPG to the people of the district. DDC directed officers of Municipal to ensure cleaning around the Dargaha Alia at old town Baramulla.
Meanwhile strict directions were given to the PHE department for ensuring portable water supply and officers of PDD were directed to ensure supply of uninterrupted power during the holy days. ARTO, Sopore was directed to take immediate measures to improve traffic regulation and adopt specific diversion in order to overcome traffic congestion. DDC directed State Road Transport Corporation to provide Free Bus service for devotees from Baramulla to Srinagar and separate transport services for female devotees. She also directed health department to ensure availability of proper medical aid and health care for the devotees.Prior to the meeting the DDC paid surprise visit to various stores of CA&PD including Panzipora, Najibhat and took the detailed account of basic amenities available there
