District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Ms. Yasha Mudgal distributed monthly food kits among 300 widows and orphans during a function at Town Hall Kreeri today. The function was organized by NGO International Islamic Relief and Research Center presently providing succor to widows, orphans and other destitute in 15 countries.The DDC while hailing the role of the organization sought cooperation of other people also to help needy persons in the society. She said the Government is also running a series of schemes to assist such people. The DDC enjoined upon the concerned officers to make general public aware of these schemes so that they avail benefits from Government sponsored schemes.Later, the DDC inspected Community Health Center Kreeri and interacted with the patients, attendants and CHC management to enquire about the available medicines, machinery and other facilities in the Hospital. DDC also checked the records and expressed her satisfaction.Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bashir Chalkoo, Tehsildar Kreeri, Ab Khaliq also accompanied the DDC.
