Jammu and Kashmir teachers forum well comes and appreciated the reformative steps of steps taken by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.In a statement issued to KNS, teachers forum chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani welcomes CMs concern for the reformation of education system. Wani assures full support and cooperation to Chief Minister in regard to the reformation and constructive steps of Chief Minister for the welfare and betterment of education system.Abdul Qayoom Wani urges upon teacher fraternity to work for the reformation of education setup and to utilize the human recourse for the betterment of education department. Education department has been derailed by the higher ups of the deptt. They have deceived then CM late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed by implementing wrong policies in the department this has not only lead the department towards destruction but has also disturbed the peace of the deptt.
Wani appeals chief minister to sit order an independent probe in the lapses responsible for creating disturbances in the department and who so ever is responsible for all this mess should be put to task. Some wrong policies and their negative impacts on the department are as follows.The so called reformative steps taken by the higher ups of the department have disturbed the peace of the department and proved disastrous for the department and teaching community. The commitments made by the authorities have proven false on the ground level. Some steps taken higher ups and their results.
Rationalization of teachers and clubbing of schools; More than three thousand schools were clubbed and these schools lost their identity but the institutions with large number of students have less number of teachers and the schools with less number of students have sufficient number of teachers.
This was done to give relief to blue eyed people nothing else. The interesting thing is that this so called rationalization has yet to get sanction from government.Super fifty; the officers of department have deceived late Mufti the then CM by operating this failure concept of super fifty. This only ruined the career of poor students of J&K.Ban on private tutioning by Govt teachers; these officers have thought that they achieved everything by banning the tuition practice of teachers. This only wasted the human resource and put the career of students in dark especially in rural areas. This was totally to give boost the private tuition centers and to introduce some out state tuition agencies in the state.Promises to regulate the salary of SSA/RMSA teachers and masters; The trio has repeated assured the nation builders for the regulation of SSA, RMSA salaries but again their promise proved false.
The higher ups have deceived teaching community by making cheap and illogic promises in this regard and have played with the sentiments of nation builders time to time by this way or other.Transfer mela; the higher ups three again humiliate the teaching community when they compel teachers to become the part of this MELA.These teachers put forth their places of choices as demanded by deptt but only blue eyed people were posted suitably and common teachers were left for the mercy of Allah mighty by posting them far away from their respective homes. 60% transfer orders issued by DSEK were modified on his own directions. In this so called transfer mela proved as a futile exercise. Screening test of ReTs; in the year 2015 the screening test of ReTs was the talk of the town and it was the dream of the trio to get the ReTs secreenised by moonlighting the court orders.
The higher ups left no stone unturned to humiliate the teachers on the name of screening test. But they lost this battle when the hon'ble high court endorsed the verdict of JKTF and restricted education deptt from screening of ReTs for which the officers have disturbed the peace of deptt and forced teachers to come on streets to protest against this humiliating approach of higher ups of the deptt.There are so many other strong reasons which are enough to show the inefficiency and in capability of higher ups of the department especially, Commissioner Secretary and director education. The self styledness and pity experiments of the higher ups has lead the deptt towards the destruction and darkness. Even the MHRD has castigated the deptt of education for its irresponsible role. According to the reports of MHRD the deptt of education has failed to co operate with ministry time to time in respect to official matters pertaining to the department education in J&K. At the same time Wani castigated anti employees policies of DC Kupwara the said officer has left no stone unturned to harass the employees in this way or the other.
Wani warns DC Kupwara not to consider himself as vice Roy of Kupwara and to restrict himself from anti employee policies otherwise JKTF will come on roads to show its resistance against said officer. Its quiet strange to see the DSEK to remain a mute spectator over the illegal and illogical suspension of teachers by DC Kupwara in false stone pelting cases. Being head of the family DSEK should have defended his employees but he shows non seriousness and irresponsible attitude of DSEK towards teaching community.This shows that DC Kupwara and DSEK are inter linked and are propagating anti employee policies in collaboration to each other under hidden agenda. Wani demands that the FIRs against the employees should be taken back immediately. (KNS)
