Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal has has made it clear Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has met Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi regarding the issue of the cash credit limit, that has been stopped by the Reserve Bank of India. He said that Prime Minister Mr Modi has assured the CM that the issue would be resolved soon and that there would be no problem in the procurement of wheat crop. He said that the cash credit limit would be released soon.While addressing an impressive function regarding Bhagat Puran Singh Health Insurance Scheme, organised at a private marriage palace on Ferozepur Road, here, the Deputy CM said that since the year 1997, the accounts of Punjab government and FCI have not been matched, due to which there is some confusion regarding the matter.He said that CM Mr Parkash Singh Badal met the Prime Minister recently and has put forward the point of Punjab government before him, after which the Prime Minister assured that the matching of accounts would take place simultaneously and the cash credit limit would be issued by the Reserve Bank of India so that there is no problem in procurement of wheat crop.

While accusing Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Mr Arvind Kejriwal of keeping a double stand on SYL issue, Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal said that a person who could not be an "Aam Aadmi" for the "Aam Janta" of Delhi, how can he become true to Punjabis. He said that before joining politics, Arvind Kejriwal lied to people on every step and for grabbing power, he broke all promises with people and joined hands with the Congress, increased salaries of his MLAs and Ministers manifold. He said that people of punjab would never trust a person like him.Mr Badal said that only Shiromani Akali Dal and its allies are committed for overall development of Punjab. He said that terrified with the development carried out by the Punjab government, their political opponents are using all kinds of unfair means by distorting image of the state government.Without naming any leader, the Deputy CM said that a senior Congress leader has termed 70 percent Punjabi youth as drug addicts. He said that all these claims are baseless, false and far from reality. He warned the opponents to not indulge in such false propaganda against Punjab and Punjabis.

He said that under the Bhagat Puran Singh Health Insurance Scheme, 2.30 crore traders would be benefitted in the state. He said under this scheme, 1.86 crore traders have got themselves registered. He said that earlier, for providing much needed relief to traders, the state government had started the "Rahat Scheme", which was well received by the traders. He appealed to the traders to takemaximum benefit of this scheme. Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the Punjab government is committed for the welfare of traders and several welfare schemes have been started for them.He said that the Punjab government believes in overall development of the state and in last four years, more than Rs 2300 crore have been spent on development of Ludhiana city alone.On this occasion, he also distributed smart cards to the traders. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Irrigation Minister Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Advisor to CM Mr Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, CPS Mr Sarup Chand Singla, Punjab SSS Board chairman Mr Santa Singh Umedpuri, MLAs Darshan Singh Shivalik, Manpreet Singh Ayali, Ranjit Singh Dhillon, SR Kler, Punjab Traders Board vice chairman Mr Madan Lal Bagga, besides many others
