Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice Abdul Haq Khan has stressed on identification of important cases for proper monitoring by the Department of Law.The Minister was speaking during the introductory meeting with Law officers of various departments.The Meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary Law Department, Mohammad Ashraf Mir.Mr. Abdul Haq  emphasized on identification of cases having huge financial implications/chronic service disputes pending for a considerable long period in which interim directions passed are required to be pursued vigorously and special attention to be given towards the cases in which interim directions have been passed having impact on the developmental activities undertaken by the state.The Ministers asked the officials for filling of replies/responses by Departments in the Court in time bound manner so that passing of adverse order against the government is avoided. Incidental charges/miscellaneous expenses being paid to the Law Officers representing the state in the High Court as per the orders issued by the Law Department and any demand in excess of such charges should be immediately brought into the notice of Law Department, he further said.Abdul Haq directed the officers to keep a close liaison with the office of Advocate General with regard to cases pursued by him and with the Advocate concerned with regard to the other cases so that necessary action is taken in time.The Minister said that every Law Officer shall share the performance of the Advocate representing his Department with the Department of Law for reviewing his performance.
